I did it! Today I did my first ever radio interview for BBC Radio Solent on the Alex Dyke show. I was interviewed by the lovely Alun Newman as Alex was running late to the studio.
I was thrilled to be part of the show, but I was pretty nervous. Would the listeners ‘get’ what I do? Do other people really care about saving money? Will they think I’m nuttier than a monkeys breakfast covered in peanut butter?!
For my first ever interview about The Bargain Bunny, I think it went as well as it could have! The only annoying thing is that my phone cut out a few times but I don’t think it ruined the interview.
Following my chat with Alun I got quite a number of new followers, likers, viewers and subscribers to my page and social media accounts. So ‘hello!’ and ‘thank you!’ for taking the time to check out my site and read about what I do.
If you’ve yet to hear my interview (or you’d just love to listen again, because, y’know..) you can do so here.
I get a number of mentions, which can be found at: Approximately 53 minutes in, 59 minutes in and 1 hour and 12 minutes in. The big moment starts at about 1 hour and 16 minutes in.
If you enjoyed listening to me talk about how I live well for less, then please do let the station know – their email is radio.solent@bbc.co.uk.
It was such great fun, I hope that I get to do something similar again very soon!
Well done on your first radio performance bargainbunny – sounded great. Hopefully there’ll be many more!
