If anybody from the Portsmouth area loves their kitchen bits-and-bobs then you might want to stop by The Good Cook Shop in Marmion Road in Southsea.
The Good Cook Shop – a Southsea staple – is unfortunately closing its doors in just two days on Saturday the 9th of July. I’m very sad to see this lovely little shop go, but the bargain hunter in me just had to make the most of the opportunity!
The store is selling off stock all at a discount – ex hire/ex display and seconds are being sold at crazy prices.
I got this beautiful serving plate for just £5 instead of £20. It has a few minor marks but you really can’t tell. Sadly the picture doesn’t show it’s true beauty but it really is wonderful!
Other items – including a beautiful purple Kitchen Aid mixer – also have sizable discount.
Although many items have sale stickers on, there’s a wide selection of stock that is unlabeled. Anything in this category still has a 20% off, which is great when you’re looking to purchase decent kitchen accessories.
I love cute and unusual things and this set of Mason Cash mixing bowls caught my eye. Yes they are a pricey brand, but their full-price was already cheaper than Amazon – so with 20% off I just couldn’t go wrong! My poor photography skills don’t do them justice at all, but trust me, they’re amazing. This lot would have cost £52 at full price, but I paid £41.60.
Anything that isn’t sold by close of play on Saturday the 9th will be moved over to their Worthing store – but if you can, I’d highly recommend you pay Southsea a visit!
You will be missed, The Good Cook Shop!
