The Bargain Bunny On TV!

This evening I conquered a fear of mine and that fear was appearing on television. I didn’t realise just how camera shy I was until I was actually invited to be on a show. I was brave and decided to go with it! After all, the whole point of me having this blog was to inspire other people – so why not extend that TV? Plus I was on the radio recently and that’s half way to television… Right!?

The channel was That’s Solent – a local station that can be picked up on Freeview (channel 8 if you were wondering…) in and around Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight. Being the savvy-saver that I proclaim to be, I was asked to be on their Money Monday segment. I was told it’d be 5-6 minutes of chatting about how other people can save a bit of money. I was feeling pretty daunted at the thought of having to seem interesting for up to 6 whole minutes – it’s really not as easy as it looks when you’re watching other people do it.

So, today was the day. I’ve been so busy recently that I didn’t have much time to prepare and I hadn’t even thought about what I was going to wear! That in itself took forever to work out!

Despite how nervous I was feeling, once I was in front of the cameras, it felt kind of good! I forgot to say a few of the things I had planned to, but all in all, for my first TV appearance it wasn’t so bad.

Unfortunately there’s no recording that I can post up for everyone to watch, but I’ve already been invited back to appear on their Money Monday segment, so perhaps by then I may have figured out a way!

It’s been really fun and exciting recently being on TV and the radio. People seem to have taken to my blog and what I do in regards to money-saving.

I just wanted to take this moment to thank everyone who has been following my savvy-shopper journey so far!
