For a long time I went without a Tesco Clubcard because I didn’t think it would be worth it. When I shop in Tesco it’s normally on reduced items so my spend doesn’t equate to many points.
I actually ended up getting their points card to be able to quality for the Tesco Orchard product testing program, and now I always use it when I shop!
I was pleasantly surprised to get a voucher through the door the other day for £3 from Tesco, which I ‘earned’ with my points. Although it’s low value I wasn’t going to turn my nose up at it!
I had a flick through the leaflet that came with it and I discovered that you can ‘boost’ the value of your voucher by going onto Tesco’s website.
On the website there are a whole host of organisations- varying from visitor attractions to restaurants and more – which will allow you to use a low value Tesco voucher and make it go further by obtaining a higher value admission ticket, product or restaurant voucher to spend. So I could either spend my voucher on my food shop, or boost it to get something different – a tricky decision for a savvy saver!
There are various terms and conditions for each different option, and there are limited choices, but I must say I was impressed. Pizza Express are part of the scheme and I could times the value of my voucher by 4 if I opted to get restaurant credit. I turned my £3 Tesco voucher into a £12 Pizza Express one! It’s pretty fantastic deal.
My voucher was emailed to me within minutes and I have six months to use it. It just goes to show that even if you don’t accumulate a lot of points, you’re still rewarded!
I can’t wait to go out and enjoy my pizza!
